My Web Design Terms and Conditions

 

1. I recommend certain software options. I am not affiliated to these companies, and the prices and information are correct at the time of writing. You are responsible for checking the price and functionality of Wix, its upgrade packages and other software options.

2. To have a Wix website with a connected domain name, you will need to sign up to a Wix account, and pay a monthly Wix subscription. (There is also a free version, without a linked domain name.)

3. To link your site to Google, you will need a Google account/login (you do not need a Gmail address for
this.

4. I use a standard, Wix privacy policy on your website. You are responsible for ensuringthis meets your GDPR needs - e.g. the GDPR policy in your country or for your insurer.

5. My ‘Getting Online’ eBook is for paying website clients only. You are not permitted to share it in part or in full. Any prices and recommendations are correct at the time of writing.

6. I reserve the right to use your completed website in my marketing documentation. Examples of this may include showing your website to others clients.

7. I start work on your website once I have received all of your completed forms, required documents/photos and deposit payment.

​

8. Once you submit your design forms and I start work on your website, I am not obliged to carry out major changes to your agreed design brief.

9. I reserve the right to prioritise other clients’ work, if you cause substantial delays in providing the required information that I need to complete your site. I will always communicate this with you in advance.

10. On our final call, you may be required to share your screen with me, so I can help get your website live. You will need to join the call from a laptop.
 

11. Any final required edits (ie errors, typos, broken links) must be requested within 72 hours of our final website call.

12. Your remaining fee for my design services is due upon the design completion of your website. Any delay to your completed website going live that is caused by you, does not affect this.

 

13. I will link your booking software to your website. But you will need to set up your own bookingsoftware settings - eg set your calendar availability, link it to your bank if taking payments etc.

14. I provide a website design service, with a lot of additional support and guidance. Once your website is live on the internet, the running, maintenance and any future edits of your site, and any associated software, is your responsibility.

When you complete the contact form, the website collects the personal information you provide such as your name, address and email address. Your personal information will only be used for the specific reasons stated above.

This website is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides the online platform that allows me to inform site visitors about my business and services. Site visitor data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications, on secure servers behind a firewall. 
 

How do I communicate with site visitors?

I may contact you to reply to your enquiry, or to notify you from time to time with updates about my services, or as otherwise necessary to contact you to enforce any user agreement, applicable national laws, and any agreement I may have with you. For these purposes I may contact you via email or phone.

This website tracks personal information through the use of cookies. Google Analytics and other applications offered via the Wix App Market may place cookies or utilise other tracking technologies through Wix´s services. Such applications may have their own policies regarding how they collect and store information.
